Overview

The Configuration Specialist will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise as the System Architect for the Archibus database to enable our federal client’s component organizations to perform facility management technology solutions. The position requires industry and current facility management technological expertise to support our client’s delivering Archibus software development, sustainment, and corresponding training for the client’s facility management personnel. The Configuration Specialist will work within a multi-disciplinary team to synchronize Archibus data with CAD drawings and 3D model files to develop strategic planning tools and reports to meet SIO’s FM mission while working with the Government to understand Facility Management workflows.

Responsibilities

Working independently, and as a team member, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities in support of our federal client. These responsibilities include:

  • Performs as the System Architect of the Archibus database.
  • Responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational client Archibus systems.
  • Identifies configuration items, implements change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits.
  • Implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/ capabilities baselines to system end-of-life.
  • Works on teams to create and maintain software, hardware, and documentation configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.).
  • Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software, licenses, media, and other IT assets.
  • Ensures that all changes to the baselines go through appropriate change boards.
  • Experience with system modifications and discuss methods for ensuring a smooth upgrade for changes to schema tables and fields, AXVW and JS files, CSS and image files, or Paginated reports and templates.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Certified Archibus Javascript, Java & API Specialist
  • Certified Archibus System Administrator
  • Certified Archibus System Integrator
  • Experience with Archibus Upgrade Wizard, Schema Change Wizard, the Eclipse development environment
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
