Overview

LMI is seeking a Enterprise Risk Management Consultant for NASA Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) to support activities related to the maturation of the Enterprise Risk Management leadership, decision making and broad adoption.  The Enterprise Risk Management Consultant serves as the Subject Matter Expert for providing support, standardization and reporting on risk management activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the ARMD risk manager
  • Develop detailed and accurate risk reporting and communications
  • Support ARMD leadership in facilitating risk management review and board meetings
  • Create and maintain risk management processes and artifacts
  • Develop mitigation strategies and associated timelines for identified and assessed risks
  • Foster the research program’s risk awareness and understanding through collaboration, discussions and training forums
  • Create risk management plans and processes in adherence to NASA processes, policies, and frameworks
  • Leverage LMI and NASA Risk SMEs to define and execute continuous process improvement related to maturing enterprise risk management
  • Develops and monitors metrics to monitor risks and escalate as necessary
  • Some travel required

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, project management or related,  plus 6 years of relavent experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Enterprise Risk Management
  • Excellent computer applications skills, especially with MS Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook, Project) and SharePoint
  • Values and provides excellent customer service
  • Ability to participate effectively and build consensus across a cross-functional, multi-national team

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Master's degree
  • PMP or PMI Risk Management Professional Certified
  • NASA program management experience
  • Experience using enterprise tools to manage risks
