Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst in a fully remote role with the ability to travel to our client facility in Washington, DC as needed. Public Trust clearance eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the project team with the development and proper execution of plans and operations that successfully fulfill the goals of the medical countermeasures enterprise.
  • Develop and assist with the management of the project tasks to assist with the prioritization of project tasks and ensure that key tasks are not forgotten when priorities change.
  • Review and provide recommendations for geospatial representation of medical countermeasure data and decision-support products.
  • Review existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and flow charts and update them as needed.
  • Retrieve reports from system of record and analyze them.
  • Participate in required planning and coordination calls.
  • Communicate information effectively both orally and written (e.g., briefing presentations, technical documents, etc.).
  • Provide periodic update reports to Project Managers (PMs).
  • Research, conduct, and deliver recurring and ad hoc analyses and regularly required analytic products to support the medical countermeasures enterprise operations and decision support to Senior Leadership.
  • Ensure level of effort & completeness of geospatial products to ensure products meet the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff to conduct required analyses from datasets.
  • Prioritize geospatial requests received from the government, including Senior Leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience in geospatial analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating collaboration across multiple workstreams.
  • Relevant experience with data visualization.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of remote/virtual meeting environments such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx.
  • Advanced skills using ESRI or similar geospatial tools.
  • Strong organizational skills (e.g., time management, communication, setting goals, delegation, working under pressure, self-motivation, analytical thinking, and attention to detail).
  • Proficiency in written and oral communications.
  • Ability to rapidly provide geospatial analysis, dynamic, and static maps.
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance use, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
  • Preferred Qualification: Experience supporting DHS or FEMA.
  • Preferred Qualification: Master’s degree in field related to geospatial analysis.
