Mid-Level Environmental Analyst
Position is on the research staff of a private, not-for-profit management consulting firm headquartered in Tysons, VA. This position is located at the LMI Southwest Regional Office, San Antonio, TX. The primary objective of this work is to facilitate the effective and efficient execution of the Air Force worldwide environmental programs.
Provide professional technical consultation and on-site support for United States Air Force (USAF) environmental and engineering projects. Must provide specialized knowledge and skills to assist the USAF environmental restoration program managed by the Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC) environmental technology division.
Key responsibilities include:
Applicants to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Master’s degree in environmental science/engineering, geology, chemistry or related scientific fields, with an undergraduate degree in engineering, geology, economics, or other physical science with direct application to environmental industry. Bachelor’s degree will be considered with significant professional experience in absence of a Master’s degree.
6-10 years professional experience in the environmental field.
Five (5) or more years direct professional experience supporting DOD/USAF environmental programs at the Installation, Region, major command, or higher headquarters level.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills essential. Must be self-motivated and detail oriented.
Superior analytical and communication skills are required, both oral and written. Proven expertise in writing technical guidance documents. Publications list or writing samples may be requested.
Related prior experience with USAF environmental program management or consulting organizations will be highly preferred.
Applicants must be available for travel as required.
