Digital and Technology Strategist

LMI’s federal customers are transforming their business and mission technologies and modernizing their data and analytics platforms. This role will provide strategic technical leadership and hands-on technology support to government leaders, such as Chief Technology Officers (CTO), Chief Data Officers (CDO), and Chief Information Officers (CIO), on the development and deployment of technologies and platforms to enable the mission of a Department of Defense (DoD) client.

Responsibilities

  • Design strategies, apply innovation, develop methodologies, and present solutions to technology problems. 
  • Plan, lead, and serve as a technical expert on major technology programs and across diverse technical areas, such as data processing, advanced analytics, software engineering and development, systems engineering, digital engineering, and cyber engineering. 
  • Make recommendations that impact short- and long-term technology project growth and success.
  • Perform technology assessments, develop product roadmaps, develop system design documents and diagrams, define requirements, and identify system impacts associated with requirements changes.
  • Serve as technical leader, advisor, and SME to senior government leaders in the Army on enterprise data management, advanced analytics, technical infrastructure, cloud migration, cybersecurity, and governance.
  • Partner with, and deliver alongside, stakeholders, such as data systems owners, business process owners, and technical and functional SMEs across Government organizations.
  • Navigate complex Department of Defense budget and mission environments to support enterprise level digital strategies and initiatives.
  • Identify migration strategies to transition from legacy systems and technologies to modernized solutions.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BS/BA Degree
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required
  • Minimum of 15 years of technical experience, including:
    • Ten years of technical project leadership.
    • Experience with data management, data architecture, data integration, data analytics, and developing technical solutions on an enterprise scale.
    • Experience with Department of Defense information technology initiatives
    • Experience with cloud-based implementations.
  • Familiarity with Defense Acquisition policies (DoD 5000.2/74/75/87 series)

Desired:

  • Master’s degree
  • Top Secret clearance, preferred
  • Understanding of Army budget and POM processes (PPBE) desired.
