Responsibilities

This position presents an excellent opportunity for a candidate with 0-2 years of internal controls experience. The successful candidate for this position will provide expertise in several areas of internal controls and risk analysis. Specific requirements include:

  • Demonstrates basic understanding of risk identification, analysis and assessment, and the standard of internal control (control environment, risk assessment, control activities, information and communication, and monitoring).
  • Collects and analyzes risk management data.
  • Participates in client delivery teams to help prepare presentations.
  • Tracks risk management products, (i.e., risk registers, risk scoring templates, risk mitigation plans and contingency plans)
  • Complies with project schedule, requirements and client deliverables; completes assigned work activities and planned tasks within specified time frame; assists with preparation of milestone status reports and presentations.
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of, and ability to employ, a broad range of data analysis tools to maximize audit efficiency and effectiveness (including ACL, Access, Excel, Visio, etc.)
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge and understanding of professional standards (Professional Practices Framework of the IIA, GAAS, COSO, ISACA, and GAAP).
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance issues related to Sarbanes-Oxley Sections 302 and 404, OMB A-136, CFO Act, etc.)

Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
    • Experience:0–2 years of experience with risk management and/or internal controls
    • Demonstrates basic understanding of risk identification, analysis and assessment, and the standards of internal control (control environment, risk assessment, control activities, information and communication, and monitoring).

    Beneficial Qualifications

    • Experience with PeopleSoft financial system
    • Experience with asset accounting
    • Experience with Acquisition interfaces to financial
    • Federal financial experience
