LMI seeks a strategic communications analyst to support our DHS CBP customer in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and faciitate the ongoing flow of taskers, data and information amongst a nationally distributed team of professionals in a facilities environment.
  • Create communications materials, including briefings, white papers, and spreadsheets as required to enhance team productivity and program continuity.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, take meeting notes, record taskers and actions, and update the staff when necessary.
  • Deliver briefings, share communications, and update the team and other stakeholders as required.
  • Create and manage trackers and schedules and disseminate updates in a timely manner to the appropriate staff. Review schedules proactively and make necessary changes. Interface with meeting attendees and stakeholders to coordinate and support meetings and other events.
  • Manage information flows related to facilities projects, including the management, storage and retrieval of program documents on SharePoint.
  • Review incoming and outgoing correspondence, including presentations, briefings, and reports; check for formatting, proofread, and edit as necessary; prepare documents for signature and ensure proper routing through the staff via hard copy and online
  • Update rosters, calendar invites, and address lists as required.
  • Assist with workforce management as needed.
  • Manage multiple assignments from multiple people in busy work environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a CBP background investigation
  • 5+ years of experience supporting senior government leadership, ideally in a facilities, construction or engineering organization
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Prior experience providing information analysis and strategic communications support to senior government leadership
  • Familiarity with basic data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., MS Excel) and able to translate data and associated information into communication materials (briefings, white papers, etc.)
  • Familiarity with PowerBI workflows and other information tracking tools
  • Able to function in a highly dynamic and fluid environment with shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and possibly long hours
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external team members, and the ability to be proactive and work independently
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks according to senior staff requirements, program lead needs and overall program understanding
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment
  • High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to interact effectively with government program leads and senior leadership from both government and private sector firms
  • Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.

The salary range for this positon is $67,000-$116,000
