Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to work at the site of a government customer located at Scott AFB, IL. The position requires reviewing, ingesting, and transferring Joint Petroleum Enterprise (JPE) fuels data, developing APIs, as well as general data analytics and associated tasks for the client.

Requires the ability to obtain a interim Secret clearance in a timely manner

Responsibilities

  • Mastery of problem statement communication, elicitation, decomposition, and documentation, with a focus on areas impacting global bulk fuel management.
  • Proficiency at current and future state Process Documentation.
  • Proficiency at development and presentation of Division assets, such as reports, dashboards, data models, and presentations related to the Joint Petroleum Enterprise (JPE).
  • Proficiency at Testing and Quality Assurance functions, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of systems supporting the JPE.
  • Proficiency of stakeholder and user community advocation and engagement, specifically with experience working with DLA, Military Services, or Combatant Commands.
  • Proficiency for team collaboration across echelon, specifically working across different functional areas, data owners, and information consumers, and coordinating with other project teams within USTRANSCOM and across the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Awareness of Structured Query Language (SQL), with the ability to write and understand SQL queries to analyze data related to the Joint Petroleum Enterprise.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of business process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials related to the JPE.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and report developers to define data requirements and ensure data quality for reporting and analytics purposes.
  • Provide support for system deployments, user training, and ongoing maintenance activities for JPE-related systems.
  • Analyze business requirements to determine how well technology solutions can support business needs within the Joint Petroleum Enterprise.
  • Identify, understand, and document business needs, objectives, and rules, creating detailed requirements and specifications for systems supporting the JPE.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Top-Secret clearance granted by the US Government, with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
  • Five (5) or more years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or an additional four (4) years of related experience.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, specifically with enterprise-level system implementation and sustainment.
  • Very strong experience with business analysis techniques (e.g., use case modeling, business rule capture, problem decomposition, process mapping).
  • Self-starter/Self-Motivator who possesses a proactive and results-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward.
  • Ability to support the business needs of multiple, remote and on-premises dispersed clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to execute multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with configuration management, change management, or release management processes within a DoD environment.
  • Ability to travel within CONUS (Continental US) up to 10% of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Prior logistics experience, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Prior DoD and/or government contracting experience.
  • Experience with systems used in the Joint Petroleum Enterprise.
  • Experience with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or other enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices related to protecting sensitive data and critical infrastructure.
  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), CAPM, Six Sigma, or similar certification.

 Place of Performance: This position is required to be on-site at Scott AFB, Illinois.

 

Target salary range: $95,986 - $130,154

 

The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.
