LMI is currently seeking a mid-level Compensation and Workforce Analyst with experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) to support a Program Management Office (PMO).


The ideal candidate must possess strong client communication skills and be able to interpret and translate customer requirements to assist in the development of accurate position descriptions.   The candidate will apply analytical expertise defining the individual tasks and duties in relation to standardized labor category skill levels as well as develop updated market compensation proposals to labor categories on an annual basis.   The candidate must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and work in fast-paced environment with interruptions. They will be expected to strategize across project teams on workforce and PMO related issues, make recommendations and develop a variety of client deliverables.


Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. Tasks


  • Capable of quickly developing a strong understanding of the array of labor categories (LCAT) offered through the program and be able to confidently explain their application to customers
  • Ability to apply critical listening and thinking skills to gather and translate customer requirements into robust work descriptions and assist in selection of the appropriate LCAT
  • Engage customers via a multitude of communication means (Phone, email, face-to-face meetings and large group instruction)
  • Conduct peer reviews of analysis and other work products developed by others. Identify errors in logic, mathematics, writing, etc. Suggest improvements.
  • Experience leading small to medium teams by example to achieve project goals and complete major deliverables
  • Comfortable working in a fast pasted dynamic team environment and willing to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, business strategies and processes
  • Support the accurate and efficient collection and reporting of programmatic and performance data (using Excel, Access or a business intelligence tool)
  • Support data gathering and analysis through system report generation, survey development and implementation and synthesis of a variety of data sources
  • Provide assistance in developing and implementing solutions in one or more of the following areas: Strategic Human Capital Planning, Organizational Effectiveness/Development, Change Management, Workforce Planning
  • Ability to manage and meet timelines, multi-task and prioritize assignments, independently;
  • Developing implementation plans for new or transformational projects, programs and initiatives
  • Ability to create high-quality presentations, models, and analyses, and other deliverables and present them to clients and upper management


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, preferred, and five (5) to (9) years of related experience including experience in one or more of the following areas; delivering human capital strategy, compensation, HR analytics/metrics, BPR/BPI, and/or organization effectiveness
  • Hard working, self-motivated individuals who are comfortable handling ambiguity and able to successfully complete tasks within deadlines with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated professional with excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Experienced briefer, comfortable in front of any audience (e.g. large crowd, senior management, etc)
  • Open to feedback and learning; willing to coach and teach others.
  • Ability to work independently yet collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to conduct reviews of draft deliverables (i.e., proof read, identify, and correct documents) of colleagues and provide improvement suggestions
  • Strategic thinker willing to contribute to process improvement efforts (analyze a problem, then develop and propose innovative solutions that address clients business problems)
  • Ability to build productive and trusting relationships with internal and external clients and business partners.
  • Ability to conduct research, such as market analysis, on available compensation data and make recommendations to update and improve accuracy of compensation
  • Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to rapidly gain awareness of and become a SME in the use and application of client workforce management tools.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, PMO staff, customers and organizational senior management
  • Ability to contribute to or lead discussions with clients and stakeholders of all levels and facilitate briefings; facilitate training sessions, workshops, etc.
  • Due to the nature of the work, for this position, LMI will only consider candidates that hold an active TS/SCI with a polygraph

 Desired experience:

  • Experience delivering human capital strategy, HR analytics, BPR/BPI, and/ or organization effectiveness is desired
  • Familiarity with one or more advanced analytical tools and programs is a plus (e.g., Microsoft Access, SAS, and Tableau).
