Overview

LMI, a not-for-profit government consulting firm, is seeking a human capital/ management consultant within its Organization and Human Capital Solutions practice.  Candidates must be able to pass background checks and/or obtain a security clearance if needed.

Responsibilities

Role includes being a team member of one or more strategy, human capital management, communication, and business / organizational assessment, or program support projects.  The primary focus of the work is planning and supporting projects that move clients forward and achieve mission priorities. Project work can include workforce transformation efforts that range from strategic planning to tactical implementation and career management product development.  Activities include:

 

  • Working in teams to provide solutions and services to client challenges. Specifically, supporting initiatives, programs, and projects across the Federal government
  • Developing and implementing strategies and plans; developing project deliverables, conducting analysis, and responding to client requests
  • Supporting research projects, capability development efforts, and innovation efforts
  • Supporting project management, logistics, and communication activities
  • Supporting proposal and business development efforts as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of work experience or Master’s degree with 1-3
  • Ability to develop client workproducts and deliverables
  • Ability to work in a team based environment
  • Ability to travel to and work on client sites as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Desire to get PMP or other relevant industry certifications (HR Certification, etc)
  • Desire and willingness to gain technical skills and capabilities in strategy development, talent management, process mapping, information management/information technology, organizational change, data analytics, workforce planning analysis, and/or competency management

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:         

  • Management consulting experience
  • Experience with project management, communication (e.g. Prezi), or data analytic software (e.g., Tableau)
