This position is located in Bethesda, MD. LMI is a not-for-profit government consulting firm, dedicated exclusively to advancing the management of the government. As a not-for-profit company, we deliver the best value for the government dollar as all revenues support our

Works with a small team of Program/Project Managers, Medical Planners and
Medical Maintenance specialists to produce comprehensive time lines and
graphics, in various formats and detail, to assist the team in the management
of assigned projects that will improve the nation’s Military Medical
capability. As the Transition Planner for the project, works with the project scheduler on scheduling activities for medical logistics and medical equipment / service integration projects.
Works with the scheduler for developing and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule


Requires a minimum of five years of practical experience in
project planning, supply chain and distribution planning and
management, logistics support planning, medical supply contracting, and/or medical
materiel management operations. Hands on experience and knowledge of Microsoft
(MS) Project or other Project Software is required.

The Transition Planner shall have the following qualifications:

  1. Possess strong clinical background having experience in Military or Civilian clinical facilities with an understanding of how to interface with varying clinical departments;
  2. Possess a working knowledge of the processes associated with the planning, design, and execution of health care facility construction;
  3. Familiar with the myriad of transition activities associated with construction and renovation type projects;
  4. 5 years transition planning experience; and
  5. 3 years transition planning experience on relevant Federal, DOD, and/or Army projects

Direct experience in conducting management transition planning,
developing / modifying schedules for all contract work and analysis of critical
path, schedule risk, and variance analysis is required.

Ability to efficiently and effectively re-baseline project
schedules as necessary according to changes in program scope, assist functional
areas in determining compliance with project schedule requirements, and provide
critical path analysis is required.

Strong interpersonal and listening skills are required, with
ability to develop and maintain professional relationships within our
consulting firm and with our customers.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
This includes ability to compose, write, and edit a variety of proposals,
technical presentations, briefings, papers, and management reports. Samples
will be requested.

Proficiency with a variety of software applications, computer
spreadsheets, MS project management and the Internet is required.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree from an
accredited University, or equivalent experience.

Must be able to successfully pass a local background check to
gain installation access.
