Overview

LMI is currently seeking a Corporate Recruiter to support its in-house recruiting initiatives. This position will be located in LMI's Tysons, VA location.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Recruiter will work in a challenging, high-volume, fast-paced environment. The position is responsible for the quality and effectiveness of the talent acquisition process and implementing strategies to identify, attract, and hire high quality employees. The Corporate Recruiter will partner with and build strong relationships with internal clients and peers. In this role, the Corporate Recruiter will have specific responsibility for a variety of recruiting related activities including candidate sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, reference checking, as well as tracking and reporting information. Occasional travel may be required.

  • Manage the sourcing and recruiting efforts to attract high quality candidates to LMI.
  • Increase the pipeline of quality military candidates that meet the employment needs of the firm’s lines of business and increases military hiring year over year.
  • Build, implement and track national and local strategies to attract military talent with government partners, military bases, veteran service organizations, nonprofits, university veteran representatives, vendors, and other military dedicated external partners.
  • Analyze recruiting data and market intelligence to formulate recruiting plans and best practices for future recruiting.
  • Source, screen, interview, and lead candidate management throughout the hiring process.
  • Develop and execute sourcing plans to identify and recruit people with skills matching hiring needs and create relationships with candidates to facilitate the interview/hiring process in order to drive them toward offer acceptance
  • Work with the recruiting supervisor, divisional and group leaders, hiring managers, and key stakeholders to understand recruiting needs and developing strategies to meet hiring goals.
  • Build relationships with hiring managers and leaders across LMI, demonstrating value as an approachable resource who guides sourcing discussions, with knowledge of local and national markets and industry intelligence.
  • Serve as an internal champion for attention to facilitating an effective transition from military to private sector employment through military-specific training and professional development and other engagement initiatives.
  • Attend recruiting events, interview days, and career fairs.
  • Represent LMI externally as an ambassador for the company’s commitment to optimizing our military connections and attracting and retaining highly qualified talent with military experience.
  • Insure pipeline is documented with details on outreach activities and information on active candidates as well as documentation of passive candidates that align with long term hiring needs

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree from accredited college or university.
  • Five or more years’ experience with recruiting
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, collaborative style, positive attitude, impeccable integrity, and a track record of building, managing, and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Strong relationship builder with experience leading diverse work teams and developing strategy for enterprise-wide programs.
  • Experience engaging national organizations, conducting outreach, communicating with high-level stakeholders, interacting with state and local level government, public speaking, and reporting to corporate leadership.
  • Critical thinker with the ability to navigate within a complex, fast-paced organization.
  • Adept at utilizing qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess organizational performances and establish standardized dashboards, roadmaps, and capture organizational best practices.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and problem solving skills toward all stakeholders
  • Experience with recruiting systems or demonstrated ability to learn automated systems
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Able to identify passive candidates through various resources
  • Have an understanding of OFCCP compliance and the ability to track requisitions for compliance
  • Have a proven track record of successfully meeting key performance deadlines
  • Be knowledgeable of employment laws and compliant hiring practices
  • Veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces is a plus but not a requirement
