LMI is seeking an experienced Test Analyst to join their expanding San Antonio regional office. All Test Analyst candidates must have strong communication skills, a passion for testing, and a desire to learn new technologies on high-profile projects. Experience designing writing and executing test cases is preferred. This position is based at the LMI San Antonio regional office. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Working with a team of LMI domain experts to design, develop, and execute test cases for web-based applications in support of multiple federal agencies in an Agile software development environment
  • Specifying, designing, writing and executing test cases based on business requirements and direction from test lead.
  • Interacting professionally with customers and team members to solve problems.
  • Presenting test results to customers, developers and others.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, or a related field.
  • Two (2) or more years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in software testing
  • Ability to specify, design, write and execute test cases based on business requirements
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to work tactfully with a team of software developers and domain experts
  • Ability to professionally interact with customers and team members to solve problems.
  • Presentation skills to regularly present test results.
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze data using Microsoft Access, Excel, or other tools

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Experience working with relational databases (i.e. Microsoft SQL Server) desired.
  • Basic understanding of C#, HTML, ASP.NET, SQL and JavaScript desired.
  • Experience testing web applications desired.
  • Experience using formal task and ticketing applications such as Atlassian JIRA or Bugzilla desired.
  • Knowledge of information systems and experience working with federal agencies desired.
  • Experience working in a consultant/client environment is desired.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a government security clearance desired. Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
