Overview

Part-Time position is on the staff of a not-for-profit government consulting firm located in McLean, VA. Work will be performed at the company’s operation location at Scott AFB, IL.

The Logistics Analyst will analyze logistics processes and information systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop policies and procedures. The Logistics Analyst will serve as a team member on tasks and will be required to independently manage analysis subtasks. This part-time position is designed to provide responsive expertise and analysis support primarily for the Air Force Spares Requirements Review Board (SRRB) and related efforts, as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and support involving the Air Force SRRB and related efforts and initiatives:
    • Provide historical background and context regarding the development and maturation of the SRRB process and how it integrates into the Air Force Corporate Structure’s Fiscal Year Defense Program (FYDP) Programmed Objective Memorandum (POM) processes.
    • Collaborate as needed with USAF supply chain managements, logistics, planning and financial management professionals across the Air Force when optimizing and computing spares requirements for Major Commands (MAJCOM) and Air Force Systems Command (AFSC) personnel
    • Analyze, interpret, and integrate Air Force Total Ownership Cost (AFTOC) and Requirements Management System (RMS; D-200) data into the SRRB process
  • Analyze complex Air Force logistics processes from an enterprise perspective.
  • Evaluate and analyze results of these various Air Force models/tools, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and proposing solutions.
  • Perform studies and analyses and generate technical documentation of the results.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of Air Force logistics experience
  • Familiarity with Air Force enterprise-level operations
  • Familiarity with Air Force data systems and logistics tools
  • Ability to work independently on analysis tasks
  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. For this position, LMI will only consider applicants with current security clearances or applicants who are eligible for security clearances. Only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Availability for occasional travel.
