Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on grocery industry supply chain operations.
  • Analyze existing frequent store delivery system (ordering, receiving, and payment) policies and processes to include cost and roles
    • Develop potential alternate solutions or procedures to better leverage commercial best practices.
    • Define supply chain performance benchmarks       
    • Develop implementation and change management plan
  • Identify opportunities to increasing supply chain efficiencies that will provide greater visibility and accountability of resale items at all sites.
  • Provide administrative and technical writing support for procedures and operating as necessary to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the agency’s supply chain operations.
  • Perform data analysis; develop briefings and papers for senior leadership and staff.
  • Analyze and assess logistics and supply chain policies and procedures against current performance metrics and make recommendations on policy and/or process improvements.
  • Communicate with clients through written reports and oral presentations.
  • Research subject matter and prepare point papers for use by senior leadership. Produce charts and other presentation materials.
  • Support successfully planning, project execution and implementation of project across client teams
  • Provide strategic planning support
  • Provide early feedback to programs on areas of program/project execution weakness followed by written recommendations for correction
  • Hold feedback meetings with program executives to discuss findings and corrective actions
  • Develop follow up materials and updates to program play books to support successful execution
  • Build and maintain client relationships. Actively engage in helping to address client challenges. Be a strategic advisor and trusted partner to clients.
  • Strategize, design, and implement solutions and projects that will achieve client and/or LMI goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, IT, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years supply chain operations experience in the commercial grocery industry
  • Knowledge of grocery delivery models
  • Development and implementation experience in retail industry enterprise solutions including: Demand planning and forecasting, Allocation, Fulfillment/replenishment, Enterprise (Financial) planning, Warehouse Management, Transportation planning and execution
  • Ability to understand and explain issues from both technical and business perspectives
  • Experience in leading the solution definition and technical design by engaging with multiple teams. Partner with the Product Owners and business analysts to translate business requirements into core system capabilities
  • Experience in synthesizing information gathered from numerous functional domains throughout the company to assist in the creation of cross-functional data, business, or process models
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, and the Department of Defense supplement
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead cross-team collaboration and partnerships, while communicating to a variety of internal and external constituencies at multiple levels about functional and technical matters
