The work required by the Cost Analysis and Program Assessment Task Area of the Comprehensive Financial Service Support (CFSS) supports the client by performing budget execution analysis (comparing/analyzing budgeted numbers to execution numbers, performing detailed analysis on program costs), providing USTRANSCOM customers with timely and accurate cost estimates for their transportation requirements, developing USTRANSCOM billing rates, and answering ad hoc requests. We help the client in each one of these areas by automating where possible and then using our consulting skills to offer business insights.
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS: Must be able to work independently on potentially multiple projects with some guidance and oversight by the task lead. Must be able to follow technical procedures and produce repeatable outcomes and products, as well as an ability to create new, repeatable procedures in the delivery of products and analysis that at times may have somewhat ambiguous outcomes. This position is great for a candidate who has technical skills in data analysis using tools such MS Excel, MS Access, R Studio, and SQL, as well as understands the federal budget cycle ad structure.

EDUCATION: the candidate should have an undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, cost analysis or a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Operations Research. Other related academic fields will be considered.
EXPERIENCE: DoD financial, budget analysis experience experience is a plus. Experience working in a logistics field (ideally, transportation) is also a plus, but is not as important as financial/budget experience.
CLEARANCE: Active DoD Security clearance preferred
