  • Overview

    This position is for an experienced talent management specialist performing general administrative and clerical duties necessary to meet needs of the PEO in administering the PEO Human Capital Plan and talent management process for core Department of the Army Civilians (DACs). This work will be in Huntsville, AL.

    Responsibilities

    • Preparing designated civilian personnel reports for management, responding to inquiries and providing information in accordance with policies and procedures.
    • Maintain configuration control and coordinate input for civilian talent management tracking system and associated software based products (Excel based.)
    • Perform tracking of core Department of the Army civilian education, experiential, and training requirements and history to facilitate and effective talent management rotation.
    • Performs a wide variety of administrative support duties, e.g., customer service tasks, working within the Army personnel system, the TDA system, relaying and resolving routine telephone and/or walk-up inquiries, scheduling calendar items and meetings, generating a variety of standard documents and correspondence, processing forms, performing data entry, and establishing and maintaining records.
    • Responsible for monitoring and processing required senior rater potential evaluation (SRPE) reports through the PMs and PEO HQ prior to the DPEO / PEO providing enumeration and final comments.
    • Performs a range of staff and/or operational support activities; may serve as a liaison with other departments on basic administrative and/or operational matters. Performs a wide variety of data input assignments which may be confidential in nature; operates a computer to enter data, draft, edit, revise, and print letters, tables, reports, and other materials.

    Qualifications

     

    • Previous experience in civilian talent management and recruitment / retention practices
    • Knowledge of organizational table of distribution and allowances (TDA) associated with heavily civilian Department of Defense organizations.
    • Knowledge of the Army Acquisition Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) and the contribution–based Compensation and Appraisal System (CCAS).
    • Experience with Excel, Word and the suite of Microsoft office products.
    • Active Secret clearance
