  • Overview

     

    This position conducts contract negotiation and administration of routine contracts.  Manages the administration of LMI’s contracts, orders, change orders, modifications, necessary terminations and close-outs.  In addition, incumbent will coordinate proposal preparation, provide associated general management, and advise LMI’s staff regarding contractual issues.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintains general administration of FFP, LH, T&M, and CPFF contracts and delivery orders, including administration of change orders, modifications, necessary terminations, invoices, and close-outs.
    • Perform price, cost, and other financial analyses to evaluate pricing strategies, current contract performance, and financial reporting.
    • Provides support to LMI’s staff in proposal planning, preparation, and problem resolution.
    • Analyzes RFPs and prepares price proposals, letters, and other documentation required for proper contract administration
    • Coordinates staff to track contract schedule deadlines, progress, and cost status. 
    • Issues contract and financial program documents.
    • Structures contractual terms to reflect company business strategy.
    • Troubleshoots problems and resolves customer requests. 
    • Plans, organizes, and implements short-term and long-term projects; coordinates with necessary staff to verify project time-lines and schedules.
    • Performs special projects at the request of the Senior Director, Finance and Contracts.
    • Independently seeks out relevant information and screens for applicability to assigned projects.
    • Reviews performance requirements ensuring contract is in accordance with legal requirements and customer specifications.
    • Maintains proficiency in government contract law and regulations.
    • Attends department, project, and team meetings.
    • Maintains regular attendance.
    • Travel may be required, possibly including weekends.

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS in business or a related field required
    • Holding a current Full Scope Polygraph clearance is required
    • 5-7  years progressively responsible work experience administering contracts in the Federal marketplace.
    • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation and other bodies of law affecting government contracts. 
    • Excellent command of English grammar with strong verbal and written communication skills required.
    • Ability to compose, write, edit, and proofread a variety of internal and external business correspondence, contracts, proposals, and management reports essential.
