    Responsibilities

    • Partner with our national security market, which includes intelligence community agencies, homeland/ security and justice departments and diplomacy initiatives, to develop innovative communications aligned with business objectives.
    • Serve as the marketing advisor to key stakeholders within the national security market and other areas as assigned.
    • Develop, execute, and prioritize all marketing and communications campaign activities for the national security sector.
    • Bring innovative thinking to all marketing and communications activities.
    • Develop business cases for marketing and communications campaigns and drive the approval process with key leadership.
    • Build relationships with key market and service line executives, subject matter experts, and the rest of the corporate communications department.
    • Guide business leaders and subject matter experts on effective client marketing and storytelling.
    • Coach and mentor marketing team colleagues, sharing best practices and contributing to professional development planning.
    • Work closely and collaboratively with the creative services, editing, and digital teams to deliver campaigns.
    • Monitor and report on campaigns by developing metrics and key performance indicators.
    • Work with subject matter experts to understand complex information and turn it into content that is easily digestible for a wide range of readers.
    • Develop content for the corporate website and intranet, compelling case studies, executive presentations, thought leadership pieces, marketing slicks, videos, online marketing tools, sales materials, partner materials, kiosks, etc.
    • Manage project schedules for marketing priorities, ensuring customer expectations are met and projects are completed in accordance with budget.
    • Serve as an internal champion to build awareness of the corporate national security market strategic priorities and marketing approach.

    Qualifications

    • Deep understanding of the national security industry, trends, and associated media to help articulate LMI’s business, strategies, and core capabilities.
    • Executive presence, professional client service demeanor, and demonstrated ability to take initiative.
    • Strong, persuasive communication skills; ability to gain consensus through influence and pivot.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in facilitating, delegating, and motivating cross-functional groups and activities.
    • Team player and coach. Committed to the mission, the success of others, and the health of the team. Equally happy presenting to executives as writing a Tweet. No job is too small.
    • Experience building, managing, and developing a team through formal and informal leadership.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple and complex priorities.
    • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills; flexibility and adaptability.
    • Ability to make connections in a matrixed environment. A natural connector.
    • Strategic and innovative thinker.
    • Deep understanding of integrated marketing and communications strategies and how they come together to provide measurable results.
    • Superior Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts.
    • Deep understanding of social tools.
    • Previous experience in a professional services environment. Government contracting experience a plus.
    • Strong content creator with excellent writing skills and a passion for storytelling. Ability to alter style, tone, and brand voice to the platform and audience.
    • Demonstrated understanding of SEO writing. Ability to manage Google AdWords and Google Analytics accounts and use data to drive optimizations.
    • Excellent communication skills to facilitate routine and accelerated work requests.
    • Strong initiative and anticipation of business needs in advance of requests received.
    • Able to work independently.
    • 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on marketing and communications strategy and planning.
    • Undergraduate degree, ideally with a focus in marketing or communications.
