    The Junior Business Analyst assists consulting staff and clients with gathering, documenting, and validating various information system needs. This position is on the staff of a government consulting firm headquartered in Tysons, VA. This position requires up to 10% local travel to our client site in Baltimore, MD.

    • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to elicit system needs.
    • Create and develop business requirements, functional requirements, and user stories.
    • Perform editing, document formatting, and proofreading.
    • Manage and track changes to requirements artifacts.
    • Create testing plans and scenarios.
    • Coordinate and perform exploratory, beta and user acceptance testing
    • Provide assistance with meeting logistics and preparing briefings.
    • Perform data quality and data assurance reviews; conduct data analyses using qualitative and quantitative methods, prepare summary displays to report analysis results and findings.
    • Give clear oral and written explanations of assigned tasks, relevant issues, analytic approach, and results.


    • BA/BS required, with a technology or business major preferred.
    • Entry level position for candidates with four or fewer years’ experience.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with JIRA and Visio desired.
    • Must be self-directed and detail oriented in completing assigned tasks and projects within assigned deadlines.
    • Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills essential.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to compose and write a variety of internal and external general business documents, reports, and presentations.
    • Strong interpersonal and listening skills; ability to develop and maintain professional relationships within LMI and with its clients.
    • Ability to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communications. 
    • Ability to obtain security clearance isequired.
