    LMI seeks a Workforce Planning Specialist with experience in workforce modeling. Prefer 2 - 5 years progressive experience developing, performing and analyzing quantitative operational studies (such as time and motion studies)

    Responsibilities

     

    1. Ability to design data collection and analytical approach to meet workforce model requirements described by the client.
    2. Experience reviewing, analyzing, and developing models to report on and/or optimize cost, staffing, performance or operations
    3. Experience reviewing and analyzing client operational data
    4. Ability to develop recommendations for improving organizational effectiveness or efficiency based on data review findings or model outputs
    5. Ability to develop reports detailing the analysis of data and next steps for implementing organizational improvements.
    6. Experience leading or working in a cross-functional team to identify appropriate business solutions to client challenges
    7. Ability to maintain good working relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and work with client management and staff to perform engagement services.
    8. Ability to translate analytical findings into context that non-technical clients can understand
    9. Flexibility and willingness to address client ideas and feedback
    10. Responsiveness to client and project manager requests
    11. Good time and project management skills
    12. Excellent problem-solving, communications and presentation skills
    13. Strong customer focus with the ability to work with technical teams and business users
    14. Ability to work independently and as a member of a project team
    15. Experience in mentoring junior resources
    16. Building workforce models using industrial engineering techniques
    17. Develop work breakdown structures (WBS) using interviews, direct observations, and research
    18. Use advanced business analysis and appropriate analytic tools to support development and presentation of results through visualization and scenario generators
    19. Gather workload data through a variety of direct and indirect methods including time and motion studies
    20. Analyze existing models and provide feedback to enhance model capability and usability
    21. Provide recommendations to clients on issues developed during the data gathering process
    22. Work with and within cross-functional teams to identify appropriate business solutions to client challenges
    23. Maintain good working relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and work with client management and staff to perform engagement services.
    24. Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, whitepapers, and/or other thought leadership materials.

    Qualifications

    Skills and Certifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; industrial engineering or operations research preferred
    2. Prefer 2 - 5 years progressive experience developing, performing and analyzing quantitative operational studies (such as time and motion studies)
    3. Ability and experience applying industrial engineering techniques to business problems
    4. Experience using statistical packages, analysis tools, and scripting, such as Minitab, Systat, Alteryx, MATLAB, SAS, R, SPSS, SQL, or python.
    5. Excellent writing skills
    6. Proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling as well as Microsoft Word and Excel
