This position focuses on ensuring a secure workplace by assisting in the administration of LMI’s security programs for the physical protection of employees and assets, and in the maintenance of physical security integrity and operations within the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). In addition, this position shares visit authorization and facility certification responsibilities with the Facility Security Officer, serves as the Communications Security (COMSEC) custodian, and assists with general security policy for the SCIF.
Assist with general security policy for LMI’s SCIF, collateral information control and in formulating, executing and providing oversight for the administration of policies for overall security.
Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the Intelligence Community and its business strategies to formulate policies and procedures to ensure the protection of personnel and assets.
Coordinate with LMI staff, subcontractors, and consultants to submit appropriate security clearance applications.
Develop or direct development of revised procedures, interpret guidance and direction received from higher-level management on legislative initiatives, regulatory requirements/changes, and disseminate for implementation.
Prepare and maintain badge request lists. Obtain and ensure timely renewal of DoD and NCR building passes for LMI staff, subcontractors, and consultants. Administer LMI internal identification badges systems.
Function as back-up for the internal badge key access system to enter and update data (e.g., names, access location/dates/ times, lock downs, etc.).
Prepare Visit Authorization letters for personnel traveling abroad and those requiring special access.
Perform document accounting, transmittal, and destruction.
Monitor and maintain surveillance camera programs and systems to ensure consistent recording and operation.
Maintain regular attendance.
Travel may be required, possibly including weekends.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, including 5 – 7 years in a government contractor facility preferred.
Possess a Top Secret SCI with polygraph security clearance.
Knowledge of alarm systems for intrusion detection, card access systems, CCTV, physical security surveys, physical threat, capability and vulnerability concepts, visitor badging requirements, CIA security policies, and DCID 1/21.
Completion of Security Specialist training course is required.
Completion of the following courses is strongly preferred: Physical Security Specialist training, Information Security Specialist training, COMSEC Training DSS-MD, and Operational Security (OPSEC) training.
Proficiency with word processing systems, database and spreadsheet software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to compose, write, edit, and proofread business correspondence.
Strong interpersonal and listening skills, and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships throughout the organization and with external points of contact.
Ability to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communication.
