    LMI, a government consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Systems Architect to join our growing business supporting the United States Marines Corps. All candidates must have strong technical, communication, and teamwork skills and a desire to assist in evolving USMC headquarters capabilities and management. Experience in Emergency Operations Center support in the Department of Defense environment is preferred. This position is based remotely in the Washington DC area.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the architectural design, development, and deployment of the Marines Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) Common Operational Picture (MCOP), to support the delivery of consistent, standardized, and geospatially referenced information to the installation commander, tenant organizations, and other key supporting organizations.
    • Define system solutions based on MCICOM needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.
    • Research, identify, select, and test technology products required for solution delivery.
    • Establish, implement, and document the technology integration or migration strategies.
    • Develop a standardized mass warning and notification strategy and implementation plan
    • Assist with the development and facilitation of MCOP Business Rules between MCICOM Headquarters, Regional Commands, and the installations

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Education
      • BS with 8-10 years relevant experience;
      • MS with 6-8 years relevant experience; or
      • PhD with 3-5 years relevant experience
    • Relevant experience in the United States Marines Corps and/or Department of Defense Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) subject matter
    • Familiarity with Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) 4-141-04 and Emergency Management Accreditation Program standards for installation EOCs
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • U.S. Citzenship

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Relevant experience in the MCICOM or other USMC Headquarters organizations

     

    Security Clearance:

    • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain clearance
