    LMI, a government consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Task Coordinator to join our growing business supporting the United States Marines Corps. All candidates must have strong technical, communication, and teamwork skills and a desire to assist in evolving USMC headquarters capabilities and management. Experience in coordinating systems engineering tasks and initiatives in the Department of Defense environment is preferred. This position is based remotely in the Washington DC area.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordination and administrative oversight of tasks to include:
      • Develop and maintain the Marines Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) Common Operational Picture (MCOP), to support the delivery of consistent, standardized, and geospatially referenced information to the installation commander, tenant organizations, and other key supporting organizations.
      • Responsible for operating, managing, and supporting the MCICOM MCOP 24x7/365 Help Desk, including but not limited to, Tier I and Tier II solutions
      • Develop and facilitate MCOP Business Rules between MCICOM Headquarters, Regional Commands, and the installations
      • Develop a standardized mass warning and notification strategy and implementation plan
      • Support the development and implementation of basic and advanced onsite and web-based MCOP training

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Education
      • BS with 10-12 years relevant experience;
      • MS with 8-10 years relevant experience; or
      • PhD with 5-7 years relevant experience
    • Systems engineering task coordination experience
    • Relevant experience in the United States Marines Corps and/or Department of Defense Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) subject matter
    • Familiarity with Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) 4-141-04 and Emergency Management Accreditation Program standards for installation EOCs
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • U.S. Citizenship

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Relevant experience in the MCICOM or other USMC Headquarters organizations

     

    Security Clearance:

    • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain clearance
