    LMI, a government consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst and Modeler to join our growing business supporting the United States Marines Corps. All candidates must have strong technical, communication, and teamwork skills and a desire to assist in evolving USMC headquarters capabilities and management. Statistical analysis and modeling experience in the Department of Defense environment is preferred. This position is based at the client facility in Arlington VA.

    Responsibilities

    • Budget and programmatic analysis
    • Probability and statistical analysis
    • Develop and execute optimization models to Department of Defense issues
    • Analyze, verify, and validate existing models and simulations
    • Develop statistical tests to make data-driven recommendations and decisions
    • Supervise algorithm implementation in Cloud computing environments
    • Produce data visualizations that provide insight into data set structure and meaning
    • Implement analytical approaches that require knowledge of statistical programming languages, including but not limited to SAS and R, Java, and Python
    • Apply Design of Experiment (DOE) and response surface methodologies to conduct simulation analysis
    • Develop a client web portal

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Education
      • BS in a quantitative subject such as Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science with 5-7 years relevant experience;
      • MS with 3-5 years relevant experience; or
      • PhD with 0-2 years relevant experience
    • Relevant experience in the United States Marines Corps and/or Department of Defense
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Have expertise with authoritative DOD databases
    • Have expertise with USMC and OSD readiness reporting systems, processes, and data
    • Program effectively in one or more scripting languages such as VBA, JavaScript, R, or Python
    • Experience with statistical analysis, modeling, and simulations
    • U.S. Citizenship

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Relevant experience in the Marines Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) or other USMC headquarters organizations

     

    Security Clearance:

    • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain clearance
