    LMI seeks junior project analysts to support the environmental planning and real estate contracts of a federal program management office in Northern Virginia. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client keep U.S. borders safe and facilitate trade and travel. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide “eyes and ears” technology to protect our nation.


    You will manage contracts for environmental and real estate services in support of our client’s portfolio of communications, sensor, and surveillance systems and the infrastructure that supports them. This includes budget tracking, assisting with the solicitation process, and tracking progress and deliverables. You will also support the environmental planning and real estate team with general project activities. Specific responsibilities:

    • Work under supervision to formulate and define contract requirements, applicable business processes, and deliverable scope and objectives
    • Analyze business and project needs and document requirements
    • Report on contract status and track deadlines
    • Revise project documents and standard operating procedures
    • Guide meetings and follow up on action items and deliverables
    • Edit complex or specialized technical documents prepared by writers


    • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance use, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
    • Previous work with CBP’s Integrated Fixed Tower (IFT), Remove Video Surveillance Systems (RVSS), Mobile and Agent-Centric Systems (MACS), or Field Surveillance Services (FSS) portfolios is a plus.
    • 0–3 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in business or management.
    • Professional demeanor to interact with staff members and clients on a regular basis.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to document meetings and provide inputs into project deliverables.
    • Ability to work in a team environment to facilitate status meetings.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
    • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
    • Prior experience in project management support preferred.
