    LMI seeks a junior asset analyst to support a federal program management office in Tucson, AZ. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client keep U.S. borders safe and facilitate travel and trade. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide “eyes and ears” technology to protect our nation. Travel may be required once or twice a month to stations on the southwest and other borders.

    Responsibilities

    You will manage assets for our client’s portfolios to ensure accountability for government property as it is acquired, maintained, and disposed of. Each portfolio includes communications, sensor, and surveillance systems and the infrastructure that supports them. For new sites being deployed, you will track equipment the vendor is installing on the site, accept the site with all equipment when it is complete, conduct an inventory to assure all planned equipment has been installed, and populate the asset management system. Representative responsibilities:

    • Provide site-specific property management support as vendors deliver new sites
    • Document the annual inventory process for use by those conducting the inventory
    • Train field office personnel in how to conduct inventory
    • Execute the annual inventory plan in coordination with local field components
    • Enter receipt and issue transactions into SAP and Maximo, and reconcile the two systems
    • Track metrics and status
    • Identify asset management risks
    • Support financial statement audits by providing property records and coordinating site visits
    • Conduct periodic spot check audits for selected sites using samples from SAP and Maximo
    • Dispose of excess and obsolete assets

    Qualifications

    • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
    • Previous work with CBP’s Integrated Fixed Tower (IFT), Remove Video Surveillance Systems (RVSS), Mobile and Agent-Centric Systems (MACS), and/or Field Surveillance Services (FSS) portfolios is a plus.
    • 0–3 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related discipline
    • Experience in conducting physical inventories.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
    • Experience with SAP and Maximo asset management system is highly desirable.
    • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
    • Ability to effectively solve problems.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
