    LMI seeks a supply chain expert to support a federal program management office in Northern Virginia. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client keep U.S. borders safe and facilitate travel and trade. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide “eyes and ears” technology to protect our nation. Travel may be required once or twice a month to stations on the southwest and other borders.

    Responsibilities

    You will analyze our client’s enterprise supply chain operations and make adjustments to optimize efficiency. Our client’s portfolios are made up of communication, sensor, and surveillance systems and the infrastructure that supports them. Examples include wide-band, broadband, and narrowband communications networks, air-to-ground communications, day and night cameras, radar, electro-optical / infrared sensors, laser range finders, and video ground sensors. You will apply your skills in supply chain management to seek, identify, analyze, and implement efficiencies in our client’s logistics processes, and oversee site sustainment activities. Representative responsibilities:

    • Serve as a subject matter expert on supply chain operations
    • Analyze existing policies and processes and develop potential alternate solutions or procedures to better leverage best practices and provide greater visibility and accountability
    • Apply supply chain best practices to standardize, streamline, and strengthen logistics management operations
    • Define supply chain performance benchmarks
    • Identify opportunities to centralize procurement and distribution of component parts
    • Participate in integrated product teams (IPTs) to infuse logistics needs into acquisition requirements
    • Identify opportunities to reduce risk by improved supply chain management
    • Evaluate and perform trend analysis on field maintenance and supply chain activities to determine adjustments needed in logistics operational footprint

    Qualifications

    • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
    • Previous work with CBP’s Integrated Fixed Tower (IFT), Remove Video Surveillance Systems (RVSS), Mobile and Agent-Centric Systems (MACS), and/or Field Surveillance Services (FSS) portfolios is a plus.
    • 10+ years of experience and a Master’s degree in supply chain, logistics management, engineering, business, management, or a related discipline; or 12+ years and a Bachelor’s degree
    • DHS or DAWIA logistics certification desired.
    • Experience in most of the major logistics element areas.
    • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Homeland Security Acquisition Regulations (HSAR).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
    • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
    • Ability to effectively solve problems.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
