    LMI seeks mid-level acquisition specialists to support a federal program management office in Northern Virginia. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client keep U.S. borders safe and facilitate travel and trade. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide “eyes and ears” technology to protect our nation.



    You will provide acquisition support to our client’s portfolio of programs, projects, demonstrations, and other efforts. You will apply your skills in acquisition strategy, planning, and execution to acquire systems that last longer, require less support, and reduce overall life-cycle costs. You will join an integrated project team (IPT) as it approaches a critical milestone to make sure everything is in place to achieve milestone approval, recognize success, and then move on to the next project that needs your special skills in developing artifacts required by DHS MD 102-02 and the acquisition life cycle framework (ALF). Representative responsibilities:

    • Develop and update program management plans and life-cycle cost estimates
    • Develop market research plans, analyses, and acquisition plans
    • Compile and develop cost estimation and acquisition program baseline documentation
    • Support the planning, programming, budgeting, and accountability process for resource allocation planning, congressional justifications, and acquisition planning


    • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
    • Previous work with CBP’s Integrated Fixed Tower (IFT), Remove Video Surveillance Systems (RVSS), Mobile and Agent-Centric Systems (MACS), and/or Field Surveillance Services (FSS) portfolios is a plus.
    • 3–10 years’ experience and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, management, finance, or a related discipline.
    • Knowledge of or experience with DHS MD 102.
    • Experience supporting complex systems acquisitions preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
    • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
    • Ability to effectively solve problems.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
