    LMI, a not-for-profit strategic consulting organization focused on the federal government, is seeking an experienced government security expert with experience managing complex and sensitive efforts on multi-disciplinary teams in a geographically distributed environment.

     

    The NBACC Administrative Security Assistant is responsible for the safeguarding of all classified and sensitive data for the facility. This position plays an important role in the overall management of the SCIF, and as such the incumbent needs to conversant with all DHS and DoD policies and procedures to ensure 100% compliance with all regulations. This position is on a government client site in Ft. Detrick, MD.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate travel, authorizations, and vouchers
    • Populate NBACC contractor suitability spreadsheet with up-to-date security information and maintain filing systems
    • Process visit requests using DHS systems
    • Participate in meetings, seminars, working groups to ensure safeguards for the protection of classified and sensitive but unclassified information
    • Manage the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF)
    • Support the Special Security Office (SSO) with ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive national security information

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree; 10 years of experience, including at least 7 years in SCIF management within a DHS/DoD Top Secret facility
    • Minimum security clearance: Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
    • Demonstrated experience managing classified and sensitive but unclassified information for a federal laboratory
    • Government contracting experience in a services firm
    • Experience in effectively communicating across the enterprise—in writing and orally
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
    • Excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
