    Position is on the staff of a management-consulting firm located in Tysons, VA firm specializing in government operations. The Weapon System Acquisition Integrated Government Scheduler duties will be performed at a client location at Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Patuxent River, MD.

    Responsibilities

    • Works with weapon system acquisition cost analysis and scheduling team to develop, baseline, and maintain integrated government schedules.
    • Communicates scheduling information with team members, conducts what-if and scenario analysis to estimate the impact of schedule changes.
    • Develops and presents routine reports, and performs schedule risk assessments.
    • Supports program management reviews and communicate integrated scheduling findings to LMI and client management.
    • Follows leading practices, such as earned value management (EVM) techniques, when scheduling.

    Qualifications

    • Current Secret or higher security clearance.
    • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in EVM and integrated scheduling in a defense acquisition environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office suite of tools is required.
    • Experience with schedule evaluation and risk assessments related to government acquisitions.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
    • Familiarity with defense acquisition and procurement processes and procedures.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to convey complex ideas effectively to multiple levels of the organization, including senior management.
    • Perform other related duties as requested or assigned.
    • Strong interpersonal and listening skills are required, with ability to develop and maintain professional relationships within our consulting firm and with our customers.
