    LMI is seeking a Consultant in Workforce Modeling and Analysis who will apply quantitative methods to develop data-driven recommendations and strategies to address government clients’ pressing challenges in workforce management. This position is full-time and based at LMI Headquarters in Tysons, VA. 

    Responsibilities

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Supports team, primarily through data analysis and interpretation, to develop and recommend solutions to complex workforce management challenges, with an emphasis on lifecycle human capital management, workforce planning and projection, manpower analysis, organizational alignment, and competency analysis.
    • Designs, develops, implements, and continually enhances models, tools, and dashboards to support strategic workforce management
    • Conducts workforce studies and analyses to support data-driven workforce management.
    • Uses analytical techniques and models to help government organizations proactively manage their workforce and organization.
    • Apply analytical methods and tools to conduct strategic workforce analyses including skills gap assessment, competency assessment, succession plan and design, recruitment plan and design, training plan and design, onboarding plan and design, retention plan and design, and performance management plan and design.
    • Communicates analytical results and analytically driven findings to government decision makers in a clear, action-oriented way.
    • Establishes repeatable methods, processes, and tools for workforce analysis and trains others in their use.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
    • 3+ years of recent experience in workforce analysis and modeling
    • 3+ years of recent experience using a variety of quantitative tools and methods to capture and analyze workforce metrics and translate them into sound descriptive analytics and projections
    • Proficiency in multiple tools for data analysis and visualization, such as Tableau, Qlik, or SAS
    • Experience in two or more of the following areas: skills gap assessment, competency assessment, succession plan and design, recruitment plan and design, training plan and design, onboarding plan and design, retention plan and design, and performance management plan and design
    • Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated experience presenting analytically driven results to non-technical audiences
    • Experience working in a project-based environment
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

    • Advanced degree from an accredited college or university, in business, public administration, human resources, operations research, data science or analytics, statistics, or a closely related field
    • Experience in federal government or federal government consulting
    • Technical knowledge of government practices, policies, and regulations for workforce management
    • Project management experience and/or certification
    • Active government security clearance.
