    LMI has an immediate need for a Talent Strategy Consultant to work onsite with a Federal client in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will bring a highly collaborative and future-oriented approach to helping design and implement future-ready talent management and organizations.

    Responsibilities

    Primary focus will be on managing administrative and logistics activities for the Federal Agency’s Talent Strategy and Engagement Director and Division. Includes partnering with the Director to conceptualize, design, implement, and integrate a new start-up HR R&D function with geographically-disperse team. Responsibilities will include:

    • Developing and implementing strategies and plans, developing project deliverables, conducting analysis, and responding to executive requests.
    • Collecting a variety of qualitative and quantitative information, analyzing it using appropriate methods and frameworks, and communicating results in concise and compelling ways to decision makers.
    • Supporting research projects, capability development efforts, and innovation efforts.
    • Building and managing client relationships. 
    • Managing and coordinating teams.
    • Supporting project management, quality management, planning, and communication activities

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Advanced degree in a relevant field, including business, public administration, public policy, design, consulting, or organizational development
    • 3+ years of experience within the past 4 years in human centered design, facilitation, service design, or customer experience
    • Thorough knowledge and demonstrated experience applying design thinking principles and tools to solve client challenges
    • Knowledge and practice of group process and team performance methods and design strategy
    • Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in multiple methods of visual communication
    • Experience in group facilitation, including with groups of senior organizational leaders
    • Experience working in a project-based environment
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Strong ability to develop a variety of high-quality written and presentation-based work products and deliverables
    • Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

    • Ability to be a strategic partner who can garner support from cross-functional executives, and facilitate resolution of differing views
    • Ability to navigate complex organizations and to work with ambiguity
    • Desire and willingness to advance thought leadership and innovative solutions for clients
    • Experience in federal government or federal government consulting
    • Project management experience and/or credentials
    • Skills as a graphic facilitator
    • Active government security clearance.
