    LMI is seeking a Junior Health and Research Analyst who will provide subject matter expertise support on behalf of the Readiness and Health Directorate of Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED).  This project includes provide services to all codes of the Readiness and Health Directorate in its mission to support the management of readiness and health.  With the magnitude and pace of change occurring at BUMED and the Military Health System (MHS), consistent program support is critical in sustaining operations, transitioning programs, and implementing new initiatives. Location is flexible, to include government site (either in Falls Church or Fairfax), LMI's regional office in San Antonio, or remote.  


    • Formulates/defines research and development scope and objectives for assigned projects.
    • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering capacity and limitations, timelines, and form of desired results.
    • Prepares detailed specifications from which research programs will be written.
    • Supports program design, testing, and documentation.



    • Bachelor’s Degree in health, statistics, or a related research-oriented field
    • Full technical knowledge of all phases of research application analysis and programming
    • Good understanding of research analysis techniques and ability to apply them
    • Strong research skills and proficiency in a variety of methods for research and qualitative/quantitative analysis
    • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
    • Experience working independently with minimal supervision and guidance
    • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
    • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
    • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
    • Ability to pass a standard background investigation for government employment; ability to gain a government security clerance if needed


    • 2-5 years of experience
    • Experience in federal government or federal government consulting
    • Knowledge of the Department of Defense
    • Knowledge of health management, military health, or related topics.
