  • Overview

    LMI seeks a Contracts/Procurement SME with 20 years’ experience in all aspects of contracting/procurement.



    • Analysis, review, and status of ongoing procurement-related activities and issues;
    • Technical support to interagency and Executive Branch boards;
    • Planning and execution of studies, working groups, projects, and other activities that span across the multiple organizations and agencies;
    • Technical research, analysis, reports, and presentations in response to internal and external ad hoc tasking and requests;
    • Review of contracting documents, to include acquisition strategy, contracting strategy and RFPs to ensure sound contracting practices;
    • Engagement with program office, other government offices, and industry for research and benchmarking;
    • Technical support and expertise on acquisition and technology issues;
    • Technical support and expertise on supply chain risk management policy development and process implementation;
    • Webpage content management in accordance with SOPs and procedures, to include updates to the Federal Acquisition Regulation and other agency supplements;
    • Support in planning and monitoring contract policy, analysis and development;
    • Develop and deliver briefings and white papers as required to document and provide the results of any analysis performed;
    • Project management support to working groups and team meetings concerning issues such as software licensing and earned value management;
    • Ensure risk areas (cost, schedule or performance) are identified and appropriate risk management approaches are employed;
    • Track programs throughout the acquisition lifecycle to monitor execution and end-to-end functionality within cost and schedule constraints;
    • Maintain cognizance of future programs, areas of interest and emerging requirements;



    The following are REQUIRED qualifications for this position:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in contracting, economics, business or similar field.
    • Twenty or more years of government experience in performing the full range of federal government pre-award and post-award activities utilizing various types of contracts.
    • Twenty or more years of government experience demonstrating expert knowledge of federal contracting regulations, policies, and procedures.
    • Twenty or more years of demonstrated government experience planning and evaluating procurement and contracting programs and operations.
    • Demonstrated government experience in developing and recommending policies and procedures and other guidelines in support of Federal procurement and contracting programs.


    The following are DESIRED qualifications for this position:

    • Demonstrated experience planning, managing and completing multiple concurrent projects.
    • Demonstrated experience with program management.
    • Demonstrated experience briefing senior level representatives.
    • Demonstrated experience coordinating requirements across multiple organizations.
    • Certification in Program/Project Management from a nationally recognized organization (federal, state or private).
