The Enterprise Data Architect is an expert in data analysis, design, deploy and management of an organization's Enterprise Data Architecture. The Enterprise Data Architect will be responsible in defining how the company’s structured and unstructured data will be stored, consumed, integrated/shared and reported by different IT application systems. The Enterprise Data Architect will define and align architecture principles to the overarching enterprise architecture principles. The Enterprise Data Architect will work towards building an enterprise model, a central dictionary of standard common business vocabulary, define strategy/approach and principles for data quality management, master data management, data integration, data security/access and data archiving and retention. The Enterprise Data Architect will be required to map systems and interfaces used to manage data, set standards for data management, analyze current state and conceive desired future state, and conceive projects needed to close the gap between current state and future goals. Uses technical knowledge and expertise to develop, innovate technical solutions that meet the needs of the business, IT and architecture vision as a whole.
