    • Evaluate commercial IT products and integrate these to deliver custom IT solutions for analyzing and interacting with data.
    • Adapt to different styles of execution ranging from developing prototypes through multiple iterations to building sustainable systems to support stable, production environments.
    • Establish a deep understanding of a product based on discussions and research with product owners and users, intuition, and an understanding of the desired outcomes of a requested product.

    • Contribute to internal research and development efforts, identify and evaluate innovation, and find ways to apply innovative technology to develop practical solutions for internal and federal transformation initiatives.
    • Promote enterprise data governance programs to improve the quality and security of corporate and customer data.
    • Communicate complex, technical analytic results in a clear and concise fashion to leadership, colleagues, and small audiences that are familiar with content.
    • Provide a strong technical voice in the product development process to evaluate technical tradeoffs.
    • Produce high-quality analysis and demonstrate proficiency in rigorous quantitative analysis.
    • Independently develop sound analytic frameworks and methodologies for addressing both structured and unstructured problems.
    • Adapt to dynamic environments and self-motivate, demonstrating a capacity for self-enrichment, independent thought and sound judgment while creatively applying quantitative analysis methods.
    • Travel to field locations as needed to keep current with customer challenges and technology.
    • Work closely with business development efforts to identify and understand customer challenges and apply expertise to develop tailored and practical solutions.
    • Mentor and train junior staff individually or as a member of a project team.

    Qualifications

    • Degree (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred) in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer science, economics, or other related business or technical discipline is required.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in research and analysis, computational science, or advanced analytics.
    • Portfolio of data visualization products or deliverables from previous projects that have been developed by the candidate.
    • Experience developing solution architectures and leveraging IT infrastructure to deliver IT or business solutions to customers.
    • Strongly preferred experience with security requirements in a federal IT environment, including FedRAMP-certified providers and FISMA requirements for acquiring an Authority to Operate (ATO).
    • Computer programming experience across multiple programming paradigms and languages, including JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Java, and C#.
    • Web development experience using web programming languages, such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, and web application frameworks, such as Angular, Node.js, and Express.js.
