    LMI seeks senior cost estimators to support a US Marine Corps Data and Analytics program at the Pentagon. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client perform program analysis, cost estimation and life cycle estimation of acquisition programs. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide critical independent assessments supporting senior leader decisions within the USMC Headquarters.


    You will perform cost estimation and cost analysis in all areas of warfighting and business operations to include but not limited to IT, weapon systems procurement, installations and infrastructure, training, manpower, and contract goods and services. Your work will support both qualitative and quantitative analysis in support Marine Corps senior leaders and in support of major DoD decision processes. 

    Representative responsibilities:

    • Develop and update life cycle cost evaluations (LCCEs) and independent government cost estimates (IGCEs) for the client’s programs and projects, as well as ad hoc estimates
    • Conduct sensitivity and uncertainty analyses
    • Participate in program meetings and technical interchanges to remain current with program requirements
    • Participate in the review and reconciliation of estimates developed by other contractors
    • Present results of estimates in a variety of formats such as verbal presentations, narrative reports, and briefings charts
    • Generate estimates in accordance with DOD cost estimating guidance and standards.


    • Must have prior experience performing cost estimating for Department of Defense.
    • Specific experience performing cost estimating for US Marine Corps is a plus.
    • 10+ years of experience and a Master’s degree in business, management, finance, or a related discipline; or 12+ years and a Bachelor’s degree.
    • Experience using PRICE, Software Evaluation and Estimation of Resources (SEER), Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tool (ACEIT), Visibility and Management of Operating and Support Costs (VAMOSC), Operating and Support Management Information System (OSMIS) or other cost data and modeling environments.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
    • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.


    • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. For this position, LMI will only consider applicants with current security clearances or applicants who are eligible for security clearances. Please note that only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
    • Active secret or higher security clearance is preferred
