    LMI is seeking Mid-level Program Analysts to work on-site at a client organization located in the Pentagon, VA. The Analyst will use their background in analyzing programs in science and technology (S&T), acquisition and capital planning in support of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) to provide policy, advisory, and programmatic analysis in support of senior leader processes.


    Applicant selected for this position will perform analysis and evaluation of programs, to include all phases of planning, programming, budgeting, execution, accounting, performance assessment, and financial management in support of Headquarters Marine Corps senior decision making processes. This position will be embedded in our client’s organization and be responsible for the following tasks:

    • Analyze Marine Corps requirements and resources in the planning, programming, budgeting and execution process.
    • Analysis of S&T forecasting and investment roadmap linking strategy to resources to develop warfighting capabilities and analyze S&T products necessary for the development of operational concepts and visions for the Marine Corps.
    • Conduct acquisition program analysis (i.e., across appropriations such as procurement; RDT&E; O&M; manpower (military and civilian); and infrastructure) to include cost/benefit analysis to assist in acquisition decision-making.
    • Provide program acquisition management, planning, coordination, and documentation support to all phases of the acquisition lifecycle. Prepare integrated master schedules, work breakdown structures, acquisition strategies, fielding plans, life cycle cost estimates, test and evaluation master plans, and cost analysis requirements descriptions.
    • Evaluate investments to facilitate capital planning, portfolio management, and support strategic planning.
    • Provide analytical reports, technical assessments, strategic recommendations, analysis of capabilities, and policy recommendations.
    • Perform studies and analyses and generate technical documentation.
    • Brief senior staff.


    • Bachelor's degree required (in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline desired)
    • 4+ years of experience in DoD resource management and/or program analysis.
    • Planning, Programing, Budget, and Execution decision process experience
    • 4 to 10 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in business, management, finance, or a related discipline; Master’s degree desired.
    • Experience analyzing programs in one or more of the following areas: Science and technology, research and development, procurement, DOD acquisition process, and capital facility and equipment investment planning.
    • Availability for occasional travel beyond the Washington, DC metropolitan area
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
    • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
