  • Overview

    Position is on the consulting staff of a government consulting firm headquartered in Tysons, VA. Work will be at client location in Washington D.C.


    • Responds to direction from company manager/supervisor. Provides, supports and complies with a variety of company activities (e.g. required/contractual training, special projects, proposals, data calls, etc.).
    • Acquisition/Program Support: Routing draft documents, coordinating comment resolution and incorporating comments into final version. Produce executive level presentations and point papers. Assists in coordinating with the F-35 enterprise on all program issues. Serves as F-35 systems resource.
    • Requirements Development: Maintains communication with the US Services requirements officers on fleet requirements and integration across a wide range of topics and issues. Assists in obtaining required analytical products that support formal requirements documents.
    • Planning, Program, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE): Provides analysis regarding program execution, out-year planning and the creation of the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and program requirements issue sheets. Utilizes the Program Budget Information System (PBIS) to analyze changes to F-35 Program Element lines.


    • An MA/MS, and the following required experience:
      • Minimum of 15 years of combined experience with DoD tactical aviation operations, DoD acquisition program support for an Acquisition Category (ACAT) 1 / Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) level, and ACAT 1/MDAP acquisition oversight and/or requirements development at the OSD or Service Headquarters level.
      • Command of Microsoft Office Suite in order to produce executive level briefing materials, presentations and point papers.
      • Requires TOP SECRET clearance
      • Desired expert knowledge of 4th-5th generation strike fighter aircraft operations and systems such as F/A-18, F-15, F-22 and F-35, including but not limited to, weapons systems, helmet mounted visual systems, advanced sensors, avionics, and training systems.
