  • Overview

    Position is on the staff of a not-for-profit government consulting firm located in McLean, VA. The analyst will work on-site at the Pentagon supporting the Army G-4 Force Integration Division. The analyst should possess a general understanding of Army logistics force structure and awareness of the Total Army Analysis (TAA) process. The analyst will assist with the annual review and updates for the logistics planning factors regulation (AR 700-8). The candidate must be self-directed, adaptable, and possess strong interpersonal skills able to interact with senior government personnel on a daily basis. Position requires a DoD Secret clearance.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain a database of force structure data in order to support G-4 internal decision making. Act as the point of contact for all G-4 inquiries for force structure data. Provide analysis of force structure data to the government lead to support G-4 TAA equities.
    •  Assist in the development of technical presentations of metrics and analysis of force structure and logistics planning factors (Class I through IX, ice and water). Effectively communicate and package the analysis results to support G-4 senior leader decision making.
    •  Provide input for HQDA forums regarding force structure initiatives, changes, and analysis. Notify, prepare, and package information on key force structure meetings and engagements for G-4 senior leadership.
    •  Support the development and alignment of logistic priorities across the Army sustainment community of practice.
    •  Provide research assistance and administrative support (calendar management, read ahead slides, notes) for force structure governance forums and meetings.
    •  Develop and maintain a continuity book for G-4 relevant actions supporting the TAA process.

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree with 7 years or advanced degree with 5 years of experience desired.
    •  Experience in statistics and/or mathematics desired.
    •  Familiarity with Army logistics unit operations desired.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to write, edit and proofread variety of presentations and position papers.
    • Strong interpersonal, listening, and questioning skills able to interact effectively with clients on a daily basis. Adaptable to flexible work styles, environments.
