  • Overview

    The Director of Technology is responsible for strengthening LMI business opportunities through strategic technology planning, enterprise roadmaps and execution of project initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for technology strategy, technical management and business development for major public sector and federal clients. 
    • Leverage new and existing technologies to create opportunities for business growth. 
    • Serve as a member of the LMI leadership team that sets technical strategy.
    • Develop mission-based, strategic technology roadmaps for strategic planning and systems acquisition decisions balancing cost, performance, schedule, and risk.
    • Serve in an advisory and consultative role to teams and stakeholders on all technology project-related activities.
    • Create and manage new ideas in innovation (IdeaLab).
    • Offer recommendations and guidance on best practice for capability gap-filling options.
    • Recommend and drive strategic investments in technology.
    • Collaborate with business development team to identify and pursue technology development opportunities.
    • Collaborate with the CIO’s office to select innovative and efficient IT infrastructure.
    • Coordinate with solution architects on proposal efforts.

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related technology discipline.
    • 10+ years of relevant technology experience in the government contracting space.
    • Entrepreneurial experience in taking solutions from concept startup to product maturity, and working with a diverse set of industry partners and government organizations.
    • Advanced interpersonal, communication relationship building, and customer service orientation (including at the executive level) skills.
    • Experience working with project teams, executing plans, schedules and budgets, influencing decisions on resource utilization and allocations, improving time to market and improving solutions.
