LMI is seeking a Federal HR and Talent Management Consultant for our human capital consulting practice, headquartered in Tysons, VA. 

    Responsibilities

    Supports our team on a variety of HR and human capital management tasks and projects with a primary focus on the people strategies associated with workforce planning, talent acquisition, staffing management, performance management, rewards and retention, learning and career development, succession planning and the application of federal HR policies.

    • Provide subject matter advice and assistance
    • Coach federal HR managers in best practices
    • Establish and monitor talent management framework and standards
    • Establish and monitor performance framework and standards
    • Assist in addressing talent management challenges
    • Recommend and support the implementation of solutions for talent acquisition
    • Provide reporting and analysis to government sector managers, customers, and stakeholders as required.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, management, administration, or closely related field
    • 5+ years of experience working on human capital planning and human resource management projects and initiatives in the federal government context
    • 5+ years of experience in related HR work in either the defense or federal civilian sector
    • Experience in workforce planning, talent acquisition, staffing management, performance management, rewards and retention, learning and career development, and succession planning
    • Thorough knowledge of federal HR policies and regulations, especially in the areas of recruiting and hiring, performance management, and succession planning
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to work directly with individuals to provide accurate advice and responsive support in a customer-service-oriented setting
    • Project management experience
    • Advanced Microsoft office skills
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

    Preferred:

    • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
    • 5+ years of management consulting experience highly desirable.
