  • Overview


    This position is on the staff of a government consulting firm headquartered in Tysons, VA.



    • Develop and/or use simple databases and spreadsheets; assist with data collection, data analysis, and library research.
    • Perform data quality and data assurance reviews; conduct data analyses using qualitative and quantitative methods, prepare summary displays to report analysis results and findings.
    • Assist with business unit management functions; compile training statistics; and monitor staff compliance with internal corporate requirements.
    • Perform editing, document formatting, and proofreading.
    • Serve as backup for administrative assistants.
    • Respond to internal and external substantive questions and inquiries on assigned tasks and projects.
    • Give clear oral and written explanations of assigned tasks, relevant issues, analytic approach, and results.
    • Manage calendars, phones, and arrange meetings and conference calls to include scheduling with other attendees, scheduling conference room, and arranging conference calls and off-site meetings which may require establishing call- in phone numbers
    • Manage daily schedules by pre-gathering required materials from attendees or compile hand-outs as required
    • Manage weekly senior staff meetings by initiating agenda items, facilitating, and establish system to monitor action items generated
    • Manage monthly staff meetings by initiating agenda items, facilitating, and establish a system to track action items generated • Create PowerPoint presentations for meetings, off-site meetings, conferences and Congressional briefings
    • Interface with Senior Leadership



    • BA/BS required.
    • Secret clearance required.
    • Five to nine years relevant work experience.
    • Proficiency in various data processing and data analysis tools, computer spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to compose and write a variety of internal and external general business documents, reports, and presentations.
    • Strong interpersonal and listening skills; ability to develop and maintain professional relationships within LMI and with its clients.
    • Ability to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communications. 
    • Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills essential.
    • Strong ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines set by project leader.  Must be self-directed and detail oriented in completing assigned tasks and projects within assigned deadlines.
    • Manage multiple assignments from multiple people in busy work environment
    • Work independently, initiate best business practices to support senior leadership, and perform duties with a customer service attitude
