    LMI, a not-for-profit strategic consulting organization focused on the federal government, is seeking business and financial management support analysts. We are looking for multiple candidates who have experience guiding and supporting U.S. Navy or DoD financial management projects, with a history of successful accomplishments meeting stated objectives.

    Responsibilities

    • Planning for resource requirements used in Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submissions
    • Prepare, review, and verify appropriation and IT Budget exhibits
    • Conduct analyses for short and long term budget requirements
    • Prepare information for financial presentations
    • Review and prepare draft POM documents
    • Analyze financial information in program planning documents and processes
    • Provide financial management advisory services to ensure compliance with defense business systems
    • Support the business and financial manager in preparation and submission of monthly financial status briefs, monthly funds execution status reports, weekly financial activities, travel status reports, biweekly funding documents log updates
    • Populate and maintain “real-time” data in corporate financial databases
    • Prepare and maintain initial and revised execution spend plans
    • Maintain up-to-date spend plans for all programs that reflect the most recent information received and approved by senior leadership
    • Resolve problem disbursements and provide reconciliation for undistributed disbursements and negative un-liquidated obligations from official accounting systems
    • Prepare and modify routine financial explanation documents, and assist with preparation of funding documents using accounting program tracking systems
    • Develop and prepare draft documentation to support execution briefings and data calls
    • Assist in implementing a consolidated risk, issue, and opportunity management (RIOM) process to collect and analyze all RIOs
    • Develop mitigation/management/handling plans to leadership to assist in management
    • Develop the processes to implement the plan across all aspects of the program/project and implement the tools to manage the RIO information
    • Collect and consolidate all RIOs and mitigation/management/handling plans into the RIOM database
    • Update and prepare RIO reports suitable for inclusion in quarterly reports to senior leadership and external organizations
    • Provide RIO management training based on the RIOM plan

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
    • Demonstrated experience in DoD/Navy financial management
    • Experience with stakeholder engagement/coordination throughout the budget cycle
    • DOD Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.
