This position provides a wide variety of support in the Information Technology area for LMI’s Security Department


  • Provide technical assessment and assistance to Information System Security Manager
  • Perform weekly reviews and audits of assigned information systems as directed
  • Manage and maintain the Information Security / Information Systems Security Program
  • Maintain the Security, Education, Training, and Awareness Program (SETA)
  • Manage and enforce Information Security Policies and Procedures
  • Run Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) compliance and hardening tools (HBSS and Nessus)
  • Have a thorough understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) 
  • Review and oversee all Information Systems Security Plans/SSPs (Certification/Accreditation)
  • Support the Configuration Control Board by evaluating all change requests
  • Ensure all IS users follow established Information Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure all personnel receive the required Technical and Security Training
  • Assist as needed with the internal badge key access system, including updating data such as names, access location, dates, times and lock downs. Check Physical Security System to reactivate expired badges and deactivate those that are damaged or destroyed
  • Manage and coordinate Information Security Inspections and Incident Response
  • Ensure proper Protection and/or corrective measures have been taken when an Incident or Vulnerability has been discovered
  • Translate complex customer requirements into necessary technical and security solutions
  • Perform Risk Assessments
  • Perform duties as alternate COMSEC custodian 
  • Assist in various administrative duties including auditing all classified machines, updating Defense Courier Service Cards, audit electronic safe logs, change safe combinations and conduct security self-inspections
  • Prepare/package classified hardware for destruction/disposition 
  • Travel may be required, possibly including weekends
  • Perform all other tasks as directed by the Director of Corporate Security and ISSM


  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of related experience or Associate's and 4+ years of related experience
  • Must possess experience with NIST standards
  • Must be knowledgeable of NISPOM and ICD standards
  • Have a Top Secret Security Clearance, SCI access
  • Working knowledge of fundamental operations for Microsoft Windows
  • Proficient with word processing systems, database and spreadsheet software
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships throughout the organization and with external contacts at all levels of the federal government and private industry
  • Strong time management, organizational and analytical skills and the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks with little supervision
  • Must be self-directed and detail-oriented in completing assigned tasks
  • Able to use knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts and methodologies in carrying out assignments and developing skills by performing limited independent work
  • The nature of assignments require some application of judgment in the use of security requirements and the incumbent must be able to develop skill in weighing the impact of variables and issues that influence the course of actions taken in resolving security questions or issues
  • Able to adapt to constantly changing work environments and manage impact of shifting priorities
  • Able to maintain absolute confidentiality in all business matters
