    The Cloud Architect (AWS) will work within LMI’s Advanced Analytics service line to apply hands-on experience to navigate AWS products, administer accounts, and monitor usage. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AWS products and how to set up accounts and organizations to enable an enterprise data management platform. This position will support our Army clients through this calendar year with opportunities to transition to additional projects across Army and other federal clients.

    *Active DOD Secret clearance is required for this position*

    Responsibilities

    The Cloud Architect (AWS) will

    • Administer and monitor AWS accounts;
    • Build parent and child accounts or organizations within an IL6 environment;
    • Establish and maintain a working knowledge of AWS products and capabilities;
    • Perform unsupervised, hands-on work in AWS environments;
    • Work independently within team environments to set up and maintain AWS architectures;
    • Work closely with IT security to understand, implement, and monitor security controls and Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation; and
    • Think creatively to propose and evaluate AWS cloud architectures.

    Qualifications

    • Degree (Master’s preferred) in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer science, economics, or related technical discipline
    • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, executing and supporting AWS environments
    • Working knowledge of AWS capabilities
    • Recent hands-on experience using AWS products
    • Preferred AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or similar AWS certification
    • Preferred experience working in IL6 or equivalent secure environments
    • Preferred experience with security requirements in a federal IT environment, including FedRAMP-certified providers and FISMA requirements for acquiring an ATO
    • Active Secret clearance (strong preference for Top Secret) and ability to maintain this clearance
    • Ability to work on DoD’s Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) intranet
