  • Overview

    LMI is seeking to fill many positions for CWMD Analysts. The analysts will be supporting the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). These individuals will support the office’s vital mission to prevent and detect terrorist acts using weapons of mass destruction. This office oversees multiple programs related to national security, including Securing the Cities, BioWatch, Biodetection 21, and others.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide services essential to the government for accomplishing its mission to counter, deter, and detect weapons of mass destruction from being used by terrorists in the United States.
    • Develop briefings and support materials for senior government officials.
    • Collaborate with DHS operational components and the interagency to plan and execute national priorities.
    • Participate in the process of policy development, including providing analysis from reports and other sources.
    • Support U.S. field operators by providing program support, engaging in training and exercise efforts, and participating in the development of CWMD requirements.
    • Advance and maintain systems enabling the CWMD mission by providing research and development support, testing and evaluating systems, and engaging in acquisition efforts.
    • Facilitate communication between federal, state, and local partners.
    • Conduct research for CWMD programs essential to homeland security.Provide prompt, flexible responses to government requests for support in countering new threats.
