Overview:

LMI is seeking a senior SecDevOps Engineer to support an Intelligence Community client. This position will be located in the Northern Virginia area.

Responsibilities

  • Design DevSecOps environments to support analytics architectures based on discussions and research with product owners and users, intuition, and an understanding of the desired outcomes of a requested solution.
  • Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, data product engineers, infrastructure engineers, network engineers, security engineers, and software developers to integrate and stand up analytics operating environments.
  • Collect requirements, architect DevSecOps solutions and guide applications development
  • Design and advise on SecDevOps and Agile engineering practices
  • Design and advise on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) setup and maintenance, and oversee source control of IaC through Git
  • Design and advise on creating and maintaining SecDevOps alarms and events for further automation and monitoring
  • Design and advise on implementing and maintaining best practices in SecDevOps security around access control, data, and monitoring
  • Design and advise on continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools, services and methodologies
  • Design and advise on the deployment of containers (Docker) into production environments
  • Design and advise on the automated setup and maintenance of Windows based applications
  • Design and advise on Linux scripting
  • Establish an awareness and understanding of technical constraints, resources, and opportunities, such as cost, speed to market, scalability, security, and operational constraints within the federal government.
  • Identify and implement best-practice solutions to client requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • Bachelors in a technical field.
  • Senior Skill Level
  • Five or more years' of combined experience in engineering lifecycle software solutions.
  • Experience maintaining and enhancing infrastructure as code with technologies including but not limited to cloud formation, terraform, puppet, codedeploy.
  • Five or more years' experience in Python, R, Ruby, and other scripting languages
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex systems that involved integrating COTS, GOTS, and Open Source components.
  • Three or more years' experience maintaining Sponsor's enterprise operation systems.
  • Experience using knowledge management and code repositories including but not limited to Github, Gitlab, Jira, and Confluence
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities through prior experience working with senior management to find solutions for customers and leading teams performing IT software development.
  • Experience performing software development for Government programs of similar scope and complexity.

Desired:

  • Masters degree
  • One or more Cloud certifications such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer
  • Three or more years' experience in maintaining infrastructure in a cloud environment support of data science activities, including but not limited to Anaconda, Databricks, Tableau.
  • Ability to write or refactor software code to facilitate deploying applications to standalone compute resources, and the Sponsor's commercial cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with the Sponsor's security accreditation process.
