The Project Control Specialist will work on a large project team supporting the Army Shared Services Center (Army SSC) organization located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The Army SSC provides capability support services to all Army Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) logistics and financial systems. Capability support includes system sustainment, sustainment modernization, and enhancement activities such as system design, development, testing, and deployment. Specific tasks include functional analysis, help desk, cybersecurity, quality assurance, configuration management, database administration, portal and support tool management, SAP BASIS support, technical services, interface/middleware maintenance, and system monitoring.


The Project Control Specialist will assist the Army SSC by providing, maintaining, and updating project plans. The individual will be responsible for identifying critical path dependencies, major critical milestones, project deliverables, and tracking (e.g., project earned value) for projects and ongoing Service Delivery (Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)) tasks associated with Sustainment. The Project Control Specialist will prepare an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) (A002) that contains the networked, detailed tasks necessary to ensure successful program execution.


  • Current National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI)
  • 6 years relevant experience:
  • Minimum IT Level 3 or Interim Secret Clearance to obtain a CAC
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Project, preferably Microsoft Project Enterprise.
  • Must be able to manage multiple, complex project schedules simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with advanced functions of Microsoft Project such as macro development, import/ export techniques and automated updates through external files/tools is required.
  • Experience and knowledge of Project Management methodologies is expected.
  • Able to work amicably and effectively with subject matter experts and other technical personnel to resolve scheduling conflicts and effectively research and resolve data conflicts.
  • Able to coordinate with team leads and/or technical and functional experts to ensure key milestones and dependencies are properly identified and specified.
  • Able to work efficiently within deadlines to ensure accurate and comprehensive reports including schedule variances are provided within the timeframe needed.
